Debbe Taylor

Co-Founder, WorkingMomLifeline.com

Growing up in a nurturing family environment, in a pretty suburb of Boston, Ma., Debbe thought she had it made.  Her biggest problem was her Medusa-like Afro hairstyle that (talk about teenage angst) stayed with her through high school, until modern technology and hair straightening thankfully took over.

Her plan was to become a wildly creative and successful architect who designed modern homes in the spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright.
Plans change…

College opened Debbe’s eyes to the real world (people from all walks of life trying to succeed, achieve their dreams or simply get by from one day to the next).  Debbe realized that she didn’t want to sit inside in front of a drafting table all day, and that photography was her true calling and desire.  Thus the beginning steps of the path she chose for herself.

A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Debbe has successfully balanced right brain creativity with left brain entrepreneurship for the past two decades.  A Boston area native and accomplished photographer, Debbe started her own commercial photography business and built an impressive list of clients, ranging from Cuisinart to Sine Qua Non Record Label.  Running a one woman start-up taught her a thing or two…or truth be told, 100 things, about tenacity.  Debbe’s work has been published in a coffee table book:  American Image: Photographing 150 Years in the Life of a Nation.

Debbe and a friend later launched Dream Images Inc., a live video and computer background image generated company.  In an effort on the part of both partners to live a more balanced life (i.e. – mixing business with sunshine, palm trees and convertibles), the company relocated from Boston to South Florida in the early 90’s.  The two saw that there was growing competition in the market and, after growing the business into three retail locations, they sold it for a profit.

Never one to turn away opportunity, Debbe decided to transition from two dimensional visual arts to three dimensional bricks and mortar, and got involved in commercial real estate development in the late 90’s.  Until 2007, she was VP of Development for a Ft. Lauderdale based commercial real estate company.  Debbe has chosen to once again seek out her passions and live a life where work and play are better balanced.

Which brings us to the genesis of WorkingMomLifeline.com…

Debbe lives in Boca Raton, Florida with one very supportive, loving, sometimes misunderstood, dry-humored husband, two kids who keep her smiling and frequently push her to the edge of being not so nice, and one goofy Goldendoodle with boundless energy.
