Roundtable - Sign up here
Let's put it all out there
You know the kind of fun you have when you spend time (around your kitchen table, or even the watercooler) comparing, sharing, commiserating and laughing with your girlfriends?
Well, that’s what WorkingMomLifeline Roundtable is all about…only more open and more global!
The Roundtable is a weekly video gabfest just for you. Discussion topics (e.g., How do you make it through your morning routine without screaming at someone you are related to?) will change weekly -- some ideas we’ll come from us, others suggested by you.
How it works:
• We will choose six of you to participate (you provide your own Webcam) with two of us – for a total of eight.
• You can let us know here that you would like us to reserve a seat just for you. We will e-mail you to let you know you’re part of the group and give you detailed participation instructions.
• Roundtable webcam sessions will be taped every Wednesday night at 8:00 pm Eastern U.S. (expect to spend 10 – 15 minutes online with us, and about 20 total) and will be posted for everyone’s viewing pleasure/hilarity by the following Monday.
• Forward the link to your friends and become the talk of the town, each session will always be easily accessible as a part of the WML Roundtable Archive.
Your end of the deal? Be honest, share your thoughts, make new friends, laugh a lot, learn how other working moms cope(or don’t) and try to keep it all together.
So come on and join the fun! No special make-up or glamour get-up required. Feel free to hang with the group in your ratty pj’s and fuzzy slippers. Just click here and sign up for the fun.
Upcoming topics:
1. Describe the first hour of your typical morning (could be this morning) in full detail.
2. What kinds of things do you do for your kid(s) that you really wish they would do all on their own?
3. In what ways is your job exactly like and completely unlike what you would consider your ‘dream job?”
4. In what ways are you just like your mother (and how are you utterly different)?
5. What would your kid(s) say is the greatest thing about having you for a mom? What about the not-so-greatest?
6. How is your life today different from the way you imagined it as a little girl or teenager?
7. Have you ever had a “Is this really my life?” moment? Tell us all about it….
